Does anyone else have a fear of interviews?

Question by Erin: Does anyone else have a fear of interviews?
I’m 25. I suffer from social anxiety. I live by myself (my parents paid for it). I’m going to graduate university in April 2010 (after being in school since 2002). I was in school for so long because I was scared to graduate and get a job (which requires an interview). I rarely leave my home.

Does anyone else fear interviews?
Any suggestions on how to get over this fear?

2) What are your top 3 strengths?

3) What qualities do you look for in a supervisor/manager?

These questions are targeting your inner thoughts, ethics and values. Although, I can not give you the answers. Question (1) They want to know how you have react toward instruction you did not agree. This can be a trick questions. I would answer, I’m an optimistic individual who is open to new ideas and changes, just along as that policy does not go against your ethics or break any laws. Give an example of one.

But the best way to answer (2) is to ask your friends and family what are your strengths.

(3) My experience, some of the most successful managers/supervisors qualities are innovative, excellent communication skills and passionate in their position.

How long do you have to wait after your 1st telephone interview?

Question by lee: How long do you have to wait after your 1st telephone interview?
I’m currently living in the UK. I have had a telephone interview (1st time) with a company in Abu Dhabi about a week ago, since then I haven’t heard from them. They asked me a list of questions and we talked about salary and benefits and it’s for a management role. How long do you think i would have to wait before they get back to me? And normally how long is the whole process takes from 1st interview to job offer? Many thanks.

From company to company the timings differ. To get the accurate answer to your question you should have asked the company. There are companies that reply maximum within one month.. and some if they don’t require you wont even call back… I have heard that sometimes they call even after months…
But if it is a well-known company then perhaps they would call you within 2-3 weks

Are there any pharmacists out there i can interview for a research paper?

Question by leisure: Are there any pharmacists out there i can interview for a research paper?
Im assigned to go a research paper in my English class, and we’re supposed to get an interview with a person that is in the field of our dream/future jobs. I would like to ask a few questions about our green economy and how you (pharmacists) think we can improve our world with this field.

Answer by Zack M
Im not a pharmacist, but the only way to improve pharmacology and toxicology is for new drugs to be invented or a new way to heal diseases, pharmacists earn their money by selling drugs, and medicine , and multimillion and multibillion dollar pharmaceutical companies, earn their money by making new drugs, and threw research. For example if a company makes a cure for cancer it actually might become a monopoly, and the field of pharmacology will be affected dramatically, economically and internationally
