Why doesn’t Joe the plumber appreciate what liberals have done for him?

Question by gitrdoneobama: Why doesn’t Joe the plumber appreciate what liberals have done for him?
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF JOE REPUBLICAN

Joe gets up at 6 a.m. and fills his coffeepot with water to prepare his morning coffee. The water is clean and good because some tree-hugging liberal fought for minimum water-quality standards. With his first swallow of water, he takes his daily medication. His medications are safe to take because some stupid commie liberal fought to insure their safety and that they work as advertised. All but of his medications are paid for by his employer’s medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance – now Joe gets it too. He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs. Joe’s bacon is safe to eat because some girly-man liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.

In the morning shower, Joe reaches for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with each ingredient and its amount in the total contents because some crybaby liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained. Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some environmentalist wacko liberal fought for laws to stop industries from polluting our air. He walks to the subway station for his government-subsidized ride to work. It saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees because some fancy-pants liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor.

Joe begins his work day. He has a good job with excellent pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some lazy liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe’s employer pays these standards because Joe’s employer doesn’t want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed, he’ll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some stupid liberal didn’t think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune.

It’s noontime and Joe needs to make a bank deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe’s deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some godless liberal wanted to protect Joe’s money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the Great Depression. Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and his below-market federal student loan because some elitist liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime.

Joe is home from work. He plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive. His car is among the safest in the world because some America-hating liberal fought for car safety standards. He arrives at his boyhood home. His was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers’ Home Administration because bankers didn’t want to make rural loans. The house didn’t have electricity until some big-government liberal stuck his nose where it didn’t belong and demanded rural electrification.

He is happy to see his father, who is now retired. His father lives on Social Security and a union pension because some wine-drinking, cheese-eating liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn’t have to.

Joe gets back in his car for the ride home, and turns on a radio talk show. The radio host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. He doesn’t mention that the beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day. Joe agrees: “We don’t need those big-government liberals ruining our lives! After all, I’m a self-made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have.”

Republicans are unappreciative – that’s why. God forbid they give credit where credit is due. They’re too busy looking for all the bad things in life and they don’t spend enough time enjoying the good things.

They’re notoriously ‘gloom and doom’ negative.

How can I document Yahoo Answers when I’m done answering questions?

Question by republicans are pusses: How can I document Yahoo Answers when I’m done answering questions?
so I can have a record and find out which ones YA finds offensive?
I have lost my account I’ve had for almost three years with no explaination of offence. ( I was told it was “suspended”, but it was actually Terminated ).
I just logged on to find out i’ve “lost 24 points”.
Just what answers were offensive and why? I’m certainly no more offensive than the numbers of people elating the terminal cancer ravaging Ted Kenedy. HOW CAUSTIC IS THAT?
I can’t look them up because they have been eliminated.
I know they were pro Obama, but that is my RIGHT in America.
How can I maintain a copy of my responses to questions so I can have a record of what I said before the right wing report crew has my right to a response eliminated?
This is supposed to be an open forum – debate me on the issues, don’t have my response deleted because you are unable to intelectualize.
How can I procure a record of my responses before I log off YA?

how do I answer the “why did you leave your last job” question at an interview?

Question by Darling: how do I answer the “why did you leave your last job” question at an interview?
I quit my last job due to many very good reasons. The workplace was hostile – filled with catty women who said/did anything to make me uncomfortable. Also because all the other women spent a lot of time playing around all day yet I was busy and on task. The boss still kept giving ME more work and more work while the others watched television. They were also asking me to do things that were fraudulent. I spoke up about these things but it made it all WAY worse. I feel like they all forced me to quit. It truly felt planned out. Had I stayed – they would’ve make it even more unbearable and eventually found a lame reason to fire me – they have done this to several other women who didn’t go along with their smut in the past. So, I quit before they found a reason to fire me.

Now I am not sure how to answer the question of why I left my last position. I’ve read that you should never say anything bad about a past manager or company, but I feel like I should make a comment about maybe “ethical differences.” I know my last employer cannot say anything bad about me for a reference, especially because they are an at-will employer (you are not required to give notice to quit) but I am sure they would say I wasn’t eligible to be re-hired. That is why I want to be able to make a statement to the interviewer that would not say anything BAD but would let him know why they may say I can’t work there again.

Any ideas??
They were not racist. They openly told me they were jealous of me because I was single with no children and had an education.
I believe the only reason they would say I was ineligible for re-hire is because they simply dislike me.They are obviously not good at management, I wouldn’t expect them to adhere to following reference guidelines. I did not say anything bad when I left and I never broke company policy – EVER. In fact, I was the only one who followed policies. Everyone else was just doing whatever they felt like.. sounds so childish but it is all very very true.

Is this an okay answer for an interview–My weakness is I am a bilingual and lack of experience!!!?

Question by Hope: Is this an okay answer for an interview–My weakness is I am a bilingual and lack of experience!!!?
I am 22 years old with a Master degree. I have applied for competitive positions. If an interviewer asked about my weakness:

Is it okay to say:

1.) I am a bilingual. Obviously, I speak English with an accent.
2.) I don’t have much work experiences. I am only 22 years. Obviously, I cannot compare my work experiences with a 40 years old.

I may address that I am a hard worker who motivate and willing to learn new tasks to get job done efficiently.

It’s usually two to four weeks, unless there’s a holiday.

Which, of course, there is – Thanksgiving – so it might be an extra week.
