Question by mikey_toe: Anyone waited for a job offer or 2nd interview over the mail? If so was it for the government?
I just went on an interview for the county two weeks ago. They said that it will take them about 2-3 weeks to mail me back a letter to see if I qualify for the second one. I am anxious as I wait, so I’m just wondering if anyone has had experience with the government and how long it normally takes. Thanks for your advice and wisdom.

I have… also for a county job. I took a test, waited a couple weeks, got the results and was offered a second interview, but by that time I had already accepted a position in the private sector. Good luck. Also, watch out for fed jobs, they’ll string you around for months. I think time varies county by county.

Question by Lindsay: How did you feel when you accepted another job after accepting one not too long ago?
What would you do if you just accepted a job and a month later another job that was better came along and they offered you a job. Would you take that job after working a month at a job you just got. How did you give a notice, were they mad? I’m nervous about doing that if that happens to me. I just accepted a job offer today and a few hours later I received another call about an interview for another job that I wanted and that job that I wanted is better. What would you do.

Question by Lady Red~: Digital Conversion Aggravation?
So iv got the digital converter box. it doesn’t work at all. doesn’t get any stations, then wallah!, it desides to get 2 stations on a random day. but don’t count on receiving those 2 stations the next day b/c they are now gone, my friends. without me having moved the antenna or anything, yesterday we found it picking up 6 stations! i was like “yay! maybe their improving the signals or something” then this morning my kids went to find no stations working at all. zero zip nada. the antenna never having been moved.
im reading yahoo answers and also things on the web that i should invest in a pricier antenna for reception and then we’ll be able to watch television? is this true? i don’t want to waste money or a trip to best buy for something that isn’t going to work. if it is true, what type of antenna should i buy and cost??? thanks in advance for reading and answering
had to add- iv scanned and rescanned and placed the same antenna high and low and no reception today folks. what’s up w/ that?
ree6184, you are so right! i would rather watch some staticky picture than a black screen any day! i don’t see this conversion thing as some do. i see it as a conspiracy of sorts being that they took us down a notch from what was obviously better- the only question being what for? we know it’s not for the better viewing experience. the government is all involved in this and it’s for a reason folks. money or power or both???

You probably need a better antenna. I tried using “rabbit ears” and couldn’t get many stations.
antennaweb.org gives some good advice for how to set up an antenna and which kind to buy.
If you have the ability, a rooftop antenna probably would be your best option to get more channels.
I preferred analogue tv, even with all the static. I’d rather watch tv with static than see the “no signal” screen.

Question by whatever3716: Aeropostale interview?
I have an Aeropostale group interview tomorrow and I’m really nervous. I’m looking for an answer from someone who currently works there or who knows someone who does.
I’m wondering what questions they will ask…I’m very outgoing, but I really want this job so I know I will be nervous when it comes down to it. Any heads up would be awesome!
Also, they told me to come dressed as if I was going to my first day of work. I went to Aero today and bought myself a plaid shirt and camisole. I’ll be wearing them with jeans and chucks…does that fit an “aero” look?
Thanks in advance!

Question by LovelyGirl: My mom wants me to go into medical school, I don’t, WHAT DO I DO! =\?
My mom wants me to become a pharmacist, and lately, almost every other person I meet my age wants to become a pharmacist as well. My brother wants to become a pharmacist, and my cousin is a pharmacist too. I DO NOT want to become a pharmacist. The only reason these people take the job is because it makes a lot of money. That’s nice and all, but I don’t live for the sole purpose of making money. I used to be so interested in physics/astronomy etc…but my parents have been discouraging it for years and years. Now, I really don’t know what I wanna do. I no longer know what my passion is. It’s hard for me to find. Nothing will be good enough for my parents, and whenever I try to find a career path that interests me, I find myself looking at the salary if my parents would approve of it. I am so lost. I do not know what to do =\ I am asking advice from anyone who were in a similar situation. I’m a senior year in high school and I am quickly running out of time. I want a job that I will enjoy. Making a lot of money isn’t the only purpose of my life =\, but sadly, my parents will never understand that…
