Question by Ella Durkan: Do you like the start of my story?
When the door bell rings at three in the morning it’s never good news. The young girl was woken by the first chime. Her eyes flickered as she turned the lights on and lit up her room. She stayed completely still in her bed laying on her back with her head resting on the newly turned over pillow, she looked up at the Bob Marley flag that she had nailed to the roof mere days before. There was a noise as a door across the hall creaked open and footsteps were heard until the housekeeper reached the bottom of the stairs. The bell rang a second time, so she looked again at the alarm clock glowing beside her head. It was two minutes past three. There was a rattle as someone fiddled with the metal on the door chain. Lazily she rolled out of bed and walked over to the window, she jumped as she felt the cold wooden floor touching her feet, through the holes in her old bed socks. Slowly she let her eyes adjust to the moonlight that now spilled onto her pyjama top and also lit up her face. She was a small girl with wonderful blue eyes and fiery ginger hair. She thought she was normal, almost average but what happened on this night sparked the first moment of which she was to become the most irregular and remarkable thirteen year old child the world has ever seen, her name is Charlie Harkin .For a moment Charlie stood silent, half hidden in the shadow that was her bedroom. She peered out the window and saw a police car parked outside. From the second floor window she could see the yellow ID numbers on the top of the car and also on caps of the two men standing, waiting for someone to appear and the large oak door to swing open and welcome them in. Finally the porch light went on and the door opened.
“Mrs Harlan?” said the first man.
“No. I’m the house keeper. Is there something I can help you with?”
“Is this the home of Mr Christopher Harkin?”
“Yes, officer it is”
“I wonder if we may can in?”
Then she knew it not because they stood there awkward and unhappy but because of their voices there funeral voices. The young girl heard the men talking to the housekeeper, Katie, about what had happened to Chris. She eagerly tiptoed to the top of the stairs to see if she could hear more information about what happened, but all she caught was, “There was a car accident …….. called an ambulance…….. intensive care ……… nothing more anyone could have done I’m so sorry. This alone had brought the young girl into contact with me. Her uncle Chris Harkin was dead, and I knew I had to get to her before Mancar Debres ever did.
In the days that followed Charlie was told by Katie that Chris hadn’t been wearing a seat belt, otherwise; it might have been a complete different story. She thought about this as she walked up the never ending stairs to her bedroom, it felt like the only place she could be herself and not the depressed child the rest of the world expected her to be. It was weird, she thought because Chris was all about safety after the car crash that her parents had been in when she was just two year old. Charlie thought of the man that had been her only relation for as long as she could remember. Soon she now realized how little I knew about Chris. The day dragged on. She didn’t go to school that day, but I wished she had. She had to be there for the tearful visitors who came throughout the day. There were five who stood out in her my mind because they were so annoying. There was a funeral director who knew nothing about a will, but seemed to be in charge of the whole thing. A Priest – tall, elderly – and seemed quite disappointed that she wasn’t far more upset than she was. The nosey neighbour from across the road and finally the two men dressed in black, who were meant to work for “the bank”. For like the hundredth time that day she asked what’s going to happen. From the back one of the “bankers” said not to worry that they had it covered, right she should, trust them.
Please keep in mind in only 12 so dont be to harsh. Thanks
by the way chuck why would I fake it i have more to prove it

Question by Nina: fear of getting a panic attack during a job interview?
I used to be ok…free of my panic attack and anxiety for years now…until my last job interview… I was sitting there, waiting for my interview and it just crossed my mind “What if I get a panic attack?!” and of course, just thinking about it made it even worse and I found myself literally running away and making some stupid excuse about an emergency… I have another job interview very soon and I want this job but just thinking about it makes me sick to my stomach! I know for sure that this will lead to a panic attack during my interview and there is nothing I can say to myself or visualise to avoid it. I am devastated and Im thinking about taking some tranquilizers or just cancelling the interview… which is completely stupid. I don’t know what’s happened to me.. I used to be ok and totally over panic and anxiety…. Please help….
I was…5 years ago and totally recovered… Even now Im OK…it’s just these situations where I HAVE TO be… where I can’t just get up and leave (an airplane, elevator and yes, an interview) that give me panic attacks…

Question by stfu;: Best way to answer these questions in an interview?
I always get stumped on “Tell me about yourself”.
And even with accomplishments, I don’t know what to say. I’ve made some, but they aren’t as important to remember I guess.
And with strengths/weaknesses, what would some weaknesses be?
Best answer:
Answer by Amber
That’s pretty much the question where you should highlight the best qualities of yourself and use examples to back them up. (If you’re hardworking, point out that you’ve got a 4.0 GPA or that you are captain of the swim team, etc). If you have previous work and want to highlight some of your accomplishments there, that would be a good time to do it.
Weaknesses – Just pick one that won’t totally disqualify you from getting hired for that job. (Like, if you are going into customer service, don’t say that you get angry easily and tend to curse people out.) The key is to follow it up by mentioning how you work to correct that problem. You say something like, “I’m trying to train myself to prioritize tasks better, so I make lists and number them in order of most to least importance.” Or “Sometimes I like to go too fast while doing some things, but I’m practicing doing things step-by-step to eliminate silly mistakes.”
Other weaknesses could be that you procrastinate, that you take work from other people without asking, or that you lack some skill that would be valuable in the job for which you are applying.
DO NOT say that you don’t have weaknesses, don’t name a weakness that’s trite or silly (I did a group interview once, and at least three ladies named “chocolate” or some kind of food as one of their weaknesses–none of them were called back for second interviews) and don’t say that your weakness is that you are a workaholic.
