How to overcome a fear of turning my car?

Question by Tricia Beaver: How to overcome a fear of turning my car?
I drive a 2003 mustang. When I was driving to a job interview wensday, I took a corner, lost control and almost slid into a truck. Since then whenever my husband or I take a corner in the car, I cringe expecting it to slid. I think it is because I don’t know what caused the car to slid, it could have been the amount of gas, the angle of the wheels, the rain, ext. How can I overcome this fear?

Question by mariojoemcmahon: What to wear to Bath & Body works interview?
Their doing a group interview, 3 of us. She (Store Manager) was wearing jeans, and was talking to me over my resume and my previous jobs, and seen i have been a supervisor 2x, and a regular associate a few times at a few places.

She told me to actually come in wearing black slacks the day of my interview insteadof just casuaul, as im ready to work. My question is..because i know black pants and shoes are important, what do they were as a top? White Polo’s? Black or White Dress shirts?

i’m running to Aeropostale and buying a plain white Polo and wearing them with black slacks and nice dress shoes. Sound good?

how do i know if i got the job at aero?

Question by Sina: how do i know if i got the job at aero?
I’m only interested in a seasonal job for now since i will go back to school on january but meanwhile i went into aeropostale and many other stores yesterday at my local mall because they were hiring. I wore something very casual like some shorts and a shirt not expecting to be interviewed since i only wanted applications. I filled out the aero application and decided to turn it in the same day since i didn’t want to come back again.
Anyway once i turned in the application, I was immediately seen by the manager. He asked me basic questions and i think i answered them pretty well and even asked me where will i feel comfortable working in and i said stocking. I have some basic experience in customer service because i used to work at a hospital. I made sure i wasn’t trying to seem fake or hyped up. Naturally i have a calm persona and warm smile but im also outgoing once i get used to the environment. I just felt myself getting red after a while because i just totally wasn’t expecting to be interviewd on the spot but i handled it pretty well.
How long will I be expected to be called in or something. Greatly appreciated if ppl can tell me who has worked there.

You should call them back and thank them for the interview, and then ask when you will know if you got the job.

Job interviews can be tough. When you interview for a job, you want to put your best foot forward and demonstrate that you are a good fit for the position. It has to be a win-win situation! Here are some tips to keep in mind the next time you need to answer some job interview questions:

1. Do your homework in advance. This will help you to know what the company does and how they operate. This will help you feel comfortable answering questions about how your skills will benefit the employer. If the company has a website, it is always a good idea to visit it before the interview so you will be as prepared as possible.
2. Try to be as relaxed as you can be. If talking a walk or reading a book helps you to feel at ease, do that before the interview so you are at your best when the pressure is on.
3. Remember that the person interviewing you is human, too. She may also be nervous about meeting you. Keeping this in mind can help to keep things in perspective.
4. Be up front if you have a bad case of nerves. If you feel a little nervous about the interview and are afraid it will show, don’t be afraid to admit it to the interviewer. Sometimes saying that you are a little nervous right up front can be a good ice breaker. Once you name the feeling, you might find it isn’t as strong.
5. Be personable. You don’t want to seem so stiff and formal that your personality doesn’t show through. Always maintain a pleasant appearance. If you are easygoing and like to joke a little, if you are applying for a sales or customer service position where this would be an asset, let the interviewer catch a glimpse of this. Of course, you’ll want to remain professional.
6. Don’t forget where you are. While being comfortable with the interviewer is a good thing, getting too casual is a big no no. You don’t ever want to be too chatty or informal or share too much personal information.how to answer job interview questions
7. Stay focused and keep your goal in mind. You are meeting with the interviewer because you potentially want the job, so answer questions with this context in mind. For instance, if the interview asks you to describe a situation where you had to problem solve, use an example that would demonstrate your value to the company in some way.
8. Be flexible. Sometimes interviews don’t go as planned. If the interviewer keeps you waiting for a long time, or asks you questions that you didn’t expect, go with the flow and show you are adaptable in different situations.
9. Avoid simple yes and no answers. When an employer asks you a question, try to be specific and give some examples to supplement your answers in detail.
10. Take care not to sound too canned. Put some thought into your answers and always be honest. Don’t just say what someone wants to hear.
11. Turn negatives into positives. Many interviewers ask people to describe their biggest weaknesses. If this is the case, be prepared with something that you can use as a weakness that might actually be beneficial in the job you are applying for. For example, if the job would require cold calling potential customers, you might talk about how your weakness is that you can just never give up, even when things seem hopeless. This would be a good trait in a job that requires determination.
12. Ask your own questions. It helps if you have some in mind before the interview begins, so you can show you are generally interested in the job and want to know more about it. If you are unsure where to start, just go with the basics. You might ask what a typical day in this job would be like, or why the last person left the position or what the timeline is for filling the position.
13. Make eye contact. By looking the other person in the eye, and by smiling when appropriate, you give a good impression and seem confident and appealing. A firm handshake is also a good way to convey that you are confident, feel good about yourself and have a lot to offer the company.

I have a job I really want and have interviewed for it. How long should I wait for an answer?

Question by Roland E: I have a job I really want and have interviewed for it. How long should I wait for an answer?
I have another offer that’s good and already in hand.

How long did she say it would be before she got back to you. A couple days at the most. I would keep looking and I would take the other offer. You can always leave if you get the other job. It is easier to get a job/better job if you already have a job.
