Question by purple__penguin: Hair straighteners…which brand is best? how much to spend? what do you use??
ok so my hair straightener broke today! i went to the shop and bought a remington wet to straight and after reading about it on yahoo answers, i returned it tonight as everyone seems to say bad things about it….not working well, burning your hand too easily and taking too long etc etc. What hair straightener do you use? which is best? how much do you think you should spend on one to get a great one? i was looking at spending no more than 0. if you live in australia do you know any shops that are good to get them from? i was thinking myer or david jones but is there anywhere better? any help would be greatly appreciated!!
thanks!

Yep.. GHD are the best but expensive! I use a Wigo, it works well for me & I have very long hair.
In Australia (don’t know what state you’re in) you could look in Priceline, Shampoo Shops like Price Attack & Salons.

my friend owns a hair salon and she offered me the following advice:
1) don’t spend less than $130-180
2) make sure it’s imported (these tend to be better than US made flat irons)
i’ve been researching for a while and have finally decided on a ghd…pricey, but seems to be consistently well reviewed.
here are some sites that could help inform your decision:
