And also, if they ask for my strengths and weaknesses, I know that I would have to answer it in relation to the job that I am applying for but it seems so difficult to even think of a sentence when youre right in front of them.

Question by eternus: How do you answer the question “what are your strengths” in an interview if you’re pessimistic about yourself?
When I’m asked “what are your weakness” I sometimes accidentally name 3 or 4, but I can’t think of a good strength. I have low self esteem and can’t think of anything from my work experience that was notable. Usually I say something like “well, uh, I got my job done when there were deadlines” but I probably need something better. Yes, I know, confidence is important, you don’t need to tell me that. Can you give examples of what I could say? I could name a technical skill but that may not be a good idea. I’m talking about interviews for IT type jobs.

it means on what you’re good at,example you’re a cook and your strength is you’re good at cooking chinese dishes.it’s like that men.

just try to say good at multi tasking,doing different task at the same time.

This is what I had planned, we all meet at the resturaunt: me , her and her friends. I give her the flowers when we first meet up. We eat dinner, afterwards, we give her the cake, then the presents. The gifts from me are a pair of pearl earring and a matching bracelet (boxed in one box), a cd, a very nice card (which someone told me is so nice that it may make her cry. The DVD I’m making, which is a slide show of pics with her girlfriends set to music, will be presented as from all of us. Some of you said that this is fine and very sweet, others said she is not my GF and already has a BF and i’m going way overboard. Others were in between.

Well this is her day and i want to make it about her. I DON’T want her to get these gifts and think WOW, that is so nice of HIM, HE is so sweet or HE went way overboard. I want her to think WOW, I’M special, I’M worthy, someone (anyone) thinks this much of ME!

as far as I’m concerned if me, her BF, and her GF all go overboard, we still come up short, when you concider how special she is.

As far as ME. Well, I realize that about a week afterwards, I need to go to her and say goodbye. Recently I can’t reach her anywhere except work. She hasn’t been returning my calls, texts or emails. at best I feel like a pest at worst a stalker. I will be telling her that it’s hard for me to say goodbye, because I love and care about her a lot. I’m not just someone else walking out of her life, I will never be further away that a phone call. But I feel that this is what she wants of me.

So my gifts aren’t about me trying to make her feel appreciation towards me, it’s to make her feel apprieciation to herself.

additiona facts:
A) she just got a divorce, fianlized in Feb They were seperated prior.
B) her husband cheated on her and said “I just don’t love you”
C) She has a BF that she was dating for 6-8 months. (she was dating him during her seperation from ex before the divorce was finalized.
D) They nearly broke up a month ago, because he just started moving in with her.
E) She says she misses being married.
F) two weeks ago she talked about buying a house by herself.
G) last week she siad she was buying it with her BF.
H) An old love, who she never got on with because of his drug problem, Killed himself around feb… The time of her divorce.
I) she is 29, has no kids, wants some one day.

So is the birthday plan Alright or should I modify it. My main concern is not to make it awkward for her. My main goal is to build on her self esteem!

I do not believe that your reason for doing all of this for her birthday is just to make her feel special, and that is all you want. If that were the case, you are going way overboard. I believe you want to WIN her over.

I’m a high school graduate, and i would like to travel to france to study french language. in my country, there is no resume or recommendation letters or anything , so it all depends on the GPA and how well i do in the interview.
please HELP!

Sound like you are really interested in FRANCE and maxing out your French language skills, and there is NO DOUBT that they are not wasting this tremendous opportunity for someone by bestowing it on you.

Also, some unique details on why you want to do this, some French language skills, good grades, knowledge of the provider (especially of the school and locale where the scholarship will be used).

Other than that, the normal other interview prep. A good hair day, reasonable dress, etc.

Question by I Got What U Need: Job interviews, job offers…how long do I have to decide to take a position?
I have had 2 interviews already and have 2 more to go. I need a job right now. Because I am in need of a position fast I am tempted to take the first job offer, whichever it may be. I feel very confident I have a good chance of getting one of the positions I have interviewed for but one of the upcoming would be good too. The last of the 4 is low paying. I really don’t want to accept the low paying position because I am desperate for something now and a few days later get a call from one of the others offering a job. What is a appropriate amount of time to leave before accepting. I don’t want to wait too long hoping on the others to call…..
Should also not, the job I said I feel like I have a good chance at getting is a file clerk position. During the interview she mentioned that they will be going to electronic filing over the next couple of years – which could over time eliminate the position.

Usually you have around a week to accept an offer. When you get one, they will let you know how long you have to respond.

Question by Nate: Reason for leaving…..What do i say?
On a job application (online or otherwise) where it says, “Reason for leaving,” what is a good reason to say why you left your job when you were involuntarily terminated 4 months ago? This happened to me and i need a real good reason for it.
