Question by xxoSummer: on the spot interview at aeropostale?
i was at the mall yesterday and noticed a table which was offering applications for a new aero store opening. im thinking of going back today to apply, but i’ll get an interview as well, on the spot
will i need to prepare for it a lot or will they just ask me a few simple questions, any tips or examples of questions they will ask would be great

The level of interview is based on how many people applied. If you’re the only person, there’s not a lot of options for them to pick from. But if your entire town and their dogs applied, then they want to screen each employee carefully to get the best ones.
Types of questions can be found on Google.

My job interview asked about school, why I want to work there, etc.

Question by Kirstie Marie: Can you answer some questions about employment at Aeropostale?
So I applied at Aerpostale (I live in Washington state by the way) and I had an interview with the store manager about a week ago. Earlier, I got a phone call from them asking to come in to fill out a background check form and to see 2 letters of recommendation by Monday. That’s a good sign right? That they’re interested and I’ll most likely get the job?
Also, I want to know: What is the actual dress code for Aeropostale? I know it’s casual and you should wear an Aeropostale t-shirt, but my main concern is piercings… Like my nose stud. Will I have to take that out? I hope not… But I guess I’ll deal with it if I have to.
Also… how to pronounce it? I’m confused on pronunciation because I keep hearing different pronunciations. I usually pronounce it AIR-O-PAW-STULL like I’ve heard some people say. But then I hear AIRO-PA-STALL, like the last syllable has an accented mark or something.
How does that link help me in any way?

You should probably just ask someone who works there how to pronounce it.

It doesnt seem to hard because the manager seemed impressed from the retail experience I’ve had but I still wanna impress her enough to wanna hire me .I Need some good advice..also I was told to bring 2 letters of recommendation I have 1 from my last job but I need 1 more and dont know what to do about the 2nd one because the other jobs i’ve had the managers had moved on. Also..the manager told me to come to the interview as if It was my first day of work and well the workers there just wear the clothes from the store while at work do I just wear there clothes when I go in for the interview or should I wear something more dressy? Thank you for the help

Try to get a letter from a teacher or even a friend of family who knows you well and has a nice title….MD, Teacher, Coach, Pastor etc. The letter does not have to be a former employee it can be anyone who knows you well and has worked in any capacity with you. Coaches and teachers are always really good! Find the person who will write the best letter!
Wear the more dressy end of Aeropostal clothes. But don’t overdo it. I have interviewed people who go way overboard and that is a turnoff. Wear something like nice pants and one of their sweaters with nice shoes. Do not wear jeans or tennis shoes. You would be amazed at how many people wear really bad beat up shoes.
Make sure you have a couple of questions prepared for the interviewer. They always ask if you have any questions. Make sure you have an upbeat personality and an enthusiasm for the store.
I have interviewed MANY people. From your question alone you sound better than most interviewees! I think you will get the job!

Question by Lauren: Question about experience with Aeropostale jobs?
So since August I’ve been working at a daycare place. I love its and the kids. I’m really comfortable with the people i work with they are friendly. The sad thing i use to work 2hrs a day for 3 days a week, now they shortened my hours to like 1hr. 30mins. so it stinks….and im a full time student…anywho this is kinda off topic….the main thing i was wondering, ive gotten 2 aeropostale interviews in the past and didnt get either job. So ive only worked for arbys for a very little while and this babysitting job. Now that i have more experience with my new job, would they be likely to hire me or are they looking for people who have more cashier/retail experience? because i dont get it, ive tried really really hard to get a aeropostale job and i just really want to work there. x__x my best friend in chicago has worked for a pie factory job for a while, and some work at mcdonalds, and she happened to get a victoria secret job…im just like whoa how’d they do that? so im just wondering how i’ll be able to get a job at aero. i’ve always been going their for clothes. gahh a waisted/hopeless dream x__x
