My base question is the title of a song that I relate to but this is more of a rhetorical question if even that. I don’t really expect answers but I just want to talk and have someone listen with out me actually speaking but to myself. So if you haven’t guessed ‘her’ is me.
The last several months since November of last year have been spiraling out of my control. I am alone, honestly scared, and very depressed. Back in November I was working with a family as their nanny. I had been with them for a year and I thought things were going to be even better because the girls were getting older. The situation was and is complicated. Though I worked for one family it was really two families with in that one family so the girls I took care of are cousins. They came to me as I was living with the grandparents because it was the central location. Anyway, in November just before my full course load of mid term exams on top of that full-time plus job one of the parents decides that her daughter needs to be in daycare. No big deal right? Well ordinarily it wouldn’t have been but they decided that they were going to do this with out telling me or no explanation as to why. It was just all of a sudden she was not there. Then they had the nerve to not pay me for that last week.It was bad to have a limited income as it was cut in half. It was a sore spot and still is with some of the family because everyone found out about it and not even by me. I moved on took my midterms and started the new year with adding another family with the first little one. At first it was okay. I was taking more college classes another full course load but having to get up earlier and a lot extra kids than I was used to made things a lot more stressful so I dropped a couple to make life a little easier. Add in a couple emergency room visits and a three day hospital stay in the cardiac care unit… I had quite the storm brewing. There was talk that one of the parents was going to be losing her job so I was warned that I might want to start looking and so I did. I was called for an interview and the very next day I found out that she was going to keep it. Nonetheless I still needed to find something for the summer. I had been living with other people the entire time rent free so I had no idea of what I was going to need to do. I had a new job all set up living with the family but I discovered with in two days of working for them that it was not the right place for me to be. I was mistreated and felt it. When I said something about how I felt two days later it all blew up right then and there. Because I was not perfect right away being that I had been there for four days and it all should have been flawless she belittled me and treated me as if I was a servant. And told me if I didn’t like how she was treating me then there is the door. Well I believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect, so after she was done yelling at me I went to my room and packed everything up took it all down the stairs and put it in to my car myself. Something that took assistance bringing it in and two trips there all done alone and in one trip. Not only did I lose my job I also lost a home. Now homeless. I never wanted to know what it was like to be in this position. To rely on the kindness of others for a roof over my head. I have been depressed and suicidal many times in my life but for once in my life until this point for the last three years I was content. Now in the baddest way I want to die. I want to escape this pain that I feel for my failure from not being good enough. I want nothing more than to just hide in a hole and never come out. But in spite of my feelings I still am making an effort. It is hard. No family to help me out here just me and God. I hate this situation and myself right now…my whole world is crumbling apart. What else has to happen before I can be happy?

It’s never too late to get a free student scholarship. If you have several scholarship search engines, you’ll realize that there are scholarships year around to apply for with the bulk of them between the fall and late winter. You can always get a scholarship. Hopefully, you have better luck than me when it comes to them. (Seriously, I just lost a large scholarship because I finished 2nd out of 1500+). Hello im waiting for a call from the Best Buy Geek Squad for an interview. ive only had one job for a long time and didnt have a real interview. what can i expect from the Geek Squad interview? anyone that has had one remember the questions asked?

Hi
I just had my Geek Squad interview recently and found out today that i got the job. The interviewer took my resume which i gave him and he started to ask me questions about my past workplaces. When he was done asking me introductory questions he started asking me computer related questions. For example he asked me if i knew what IRQ’s were, if i knew how to connect an internet modem, set-up a TV, and know how to work with computers and wireless networking. After those questions were done he gave me questions like “What would you say if a customer came to you and asked you….. ” etc.

I have a big interview tomorrow for a third grade teaching position in a small school near my hometown. I am excited, but also nervous as it is my first interview! I think the most important thing is to just be yourself. If you try to be someone you are not, then that will come through and make you look silly. Also, be honest. No one like to hear “I don’t know” when it comes to questions, but if they ask you a hypothetical and you honestly don’t know what you would do, then say it. This actually happened to me and all I could tell my interviewers was that I would seek the advice of my fellow teachers for help or improvement in that situation. I wanted them to know (and I think I said this) that I knew I had a lot to learn, but I was willing to go the extra mile to do so.
The answer to the weakness question changed for me after I had been teaching for 3 yrs. and moved to another system. I think in the beginning I mentioned that my lack of experience was a weakness, but it was something that I could overcome with time.
Be prepared to answer questions about classroom management; the importance of getting along with colleagues; the importance of parental contact; why they should hire YOU; what a typical day in your class is/would be like; why you want to teach at that specific school.
Remember, you really have to sell youself. If you don’t have confidence in yourself and act like you are the woman for the job, then they won’t they won’t think twice about you.

The second interview is usually actually your first in-store interview with an assistant manager. We consider the online applcation to be your first interview.
If it’s your second in-store interview, it should be with the General Manager of the store. They will ask you questions about where you see yourself in the future, your availability, and if you’d turn in a friend you saw stealing. Then, either they will tell you they still have more interviews to do for the position (sometimes the truth, sometimes a gentle let-down), that they don’t feel your are a good fit for Best Buy, or the GM will job offer you on the spot and determine your hourly pay. Then, you sign papers about a background check and find out where to go for your drug test.
