Knowing nothing about you, I can offer nothing in response to (a) and (b,) but never be negative about your previous job. Say that you liked it, but you had a nagging feeling that there must be something more challenging for you somewhere.

Question by Daniel: what do you say when asked “what’s your biggest weakness” by a potential employer?
I have an interview tomorrow. I feel like saying “I work too hard” or I’m “too detail oriented” is too obvious and common. Are there any other good answers?
I kind of want to say something like “cheesecake” or “cute puppies” haha. jk.

It might be a good answer and it might not be. Interviews are *so* subjective. They really just care about your work history and your work environment, so bring personal issues or stories to the interview.
Here is why it is a good answer — It shows that you very trusting in a work environment. In a team based environment it is critical that team members trust each other and that everyone is open and clear in their communications. It shows that you would be willing to be that kind of employee.
Here’s why it might be a bad answer — The interviewer can take offense and start to defend their organization saying that everyone is trustworthy and it might be perceived as a slight to their organization (even though you are just meeting these people). Also, you need to be honest enough to really give a description of past behavior, say that you are aware of whatever the issue is and that you work on it constantly. This is another reason that the ‘trusting people too much’ issue isn’t a good one. There isn’t a good way to work on it without being more negative.
This is a hard question to answer on an interview and partially, they are checking that you have prepared a decent answer.
My answer is that I tend to be a perfectionist and I have to learn when good enough is good enough without having to take excessive time and effort just to dot every i and cross every t, even though I would if I could. Shows that I am meticulous and that I am aware of business speed issues. Still not sure it’s a good answer though!
good luck!

Question by mimi A: if at an interview you were asked what are your weakness and strenght what would be your best answer?
Best answer:
Answer by Who’s sarcastic?
Not only do I know how to spell, but I am able to use ’spell-check’ in case I make a typo.
Also, I am unable to refrain from correcting others’ grammar and spelling mistakes. But that might be another strength, I don’t know.
You spelled ’strength’ wrong.

I am not sure there is a web site that could help you. There is no way of knowing what an interviewer will ask. Just be confident in what you do know and practice working on a positive mental attitude. Just a tip; always be dressed neat and make eye contact with the person. Sit up and pay attention to what is being said. Hopefully this will give you a feeling of whether or not you performed well. Good luck

Question by JB: What should you say during a job interview when asked “What are some of your weaknesses?”?
Many job interviews will ask you to name some of your weaknesses, but what would a good response to that question be? I know its good to try and spin your weakness as a positive or to talk about weaknesses you have overcome but im haveing a problem coming up with an appropriate answer. Any examples you guys can give will be greatly apprciated.

This is what i would say is the perfect example:
“My weakness is that i am have a lot of patience, which means i can’t just be too much on anyone…”
“My weakness is that i am workholic man, which means i can’t go home if my work is not done. I am kinda stick to what i do”
At the end to give a spice to cake, you can always add “I am working on it”
