Its been a month since I was interviewed for a job in Dubai. I was made a spot offer which I agreed to and was told that I was being hired. Now, how much longer does it generally take before the offer letter is sent?

Question by Relationship_issues: Hi. Filling out job appl. online. A question comes up and asks “have you ever been terminated”?
My question… what does that exactly mean? The online application only gives a yes/no option.
I’ve been let go due to downsizing and been told that the company does not think that I’m a good fit. But does that mean that I should say yes to the terminated question. I feel that I should say no because to me “terminated” sounds like a bad term that means fired for a bad reason. As in doing something illegal or extremely inappropriate and the company wants nothing to do with you so thats why they terminated you. And I’ve never been in that situation.
But does being let go because of restructuring or a job thats not a good fit mean terminated too? Please let me know. How do I answer the question of “have you ever been terminated?” Thanks!

Yahoo server has been on and offline while they are updating and doing maintence on their sites. This is a problem for many at this time. It seems to be a hit and miss situation. Some can get on and others can’t. Yahoo says it won’t take too long to be back up and running.

Here’s the situation: For the past two weeks I have been getting extra hours at work by helping out with inventory in the office, and its great, but it’s not “moving out of my house” type of pay, so I been looking for a another or second job and I finally get a call back from one of the stores in the mall for an interview this Thursday–I’m a bundle of nerves cause it’s been forever since I interviewed for these types of positions. I went into the store today to research and get an idea what type of hours and work they were looking for.
I was also going to have my boyfriend do a mock interview for me so I’ll be more prepared; but lately I have been really aggravated with him cause he’s been trying to “get under my skin” about things I don’t feel like talking about. He claims he does this because he cares and is concerned about me since I won’t openly communicate with him. When he wants to have sex, I say I don’t feel like it and I tell him that I’m just nervous about the upcoming interview and worried about some sh*t that’s been going on at work. He clearly doesn’t understand and insists that sex will calm my nerves. Alot of times I’m never in the mood. Whenever we do have sex, I can’t concentrate on the moment and always think about work or what I’m going to do next; plus he takes forever to ***. After the sex, I feel better because it’s finally over. For me, sex is like a chore; I promised him we’ll do it tonight when he gets off work but I am dreading it…agggh…I hope that it doesn’t last for more than five minutes. All I can think about is work, money, and getting a second job. I’m all high strung and tense. How can I tell him all of this in a way that he will understand me??
We been going together for almost a year. He shows and says that he loves me and gets concerned, but I wonder if I’m just wasting his time? I think a last solution here is to dump him, but that is going to hurt him too much since he’s a great guy. Back in high school, we dated a while, and I dumped him cause I cared more about school and my job and I said to his face that I’m not good enough for him and he can find someone that’s better. That hurt him so much that he cried and we weren’t on speaking terms anymore, but then years later, he fell back in my lap claiming I’m the only one he will ever love, so I gave him a second chance. He wants so much for us. I don’t want to lose him again. What should I do?

i think ur an asshole…when he came back to you..YOU werent giving HIM a second chance because he did not do anything wrong…he seriously deserves better because from how i see it this guy cares for you while you dont have the time for social life. I have had this happen to me when i was busy with school and my gf wanted to spend time…i simply told her she deserves better and kept on insisting she gets a new boyfriend untill she got 1. You just need to explain to ur boyfriend ur more worreid about ur career than social life and try to make him understand, if he refuses to understand, dumb him.

I read in the ‘Terms’ that no one under 13 is allowed on Y!A and thier account will be terminated if theyare younger htan that, so why am I seeing 12 yr olds asking wierd questions and answering explicit questions? Why haven’t they been terminated yet?
