Hi, I’m 17 and just submitted an online application to Albertsons on monday August 18th. I’m wondering when I should do a follow up call, and what i should say. Thanks in advance.
I went in and asked for an application first, but they told me they only do online apps, thats why i did one.

I would call maybe toward the end of next week. I think as an employer that I would like to see that eagerness in an employee. It makes it seem like they care and that you are interested in working for their company. Don’t feel bad about it or over eager. This is great and you might find out an early answer! I would just say that you were touching base with them and hope that they didn’t mind your call to check on your status. Also say that you just wanted to let them know that you are still available and just wanted to let them know you were open and ready. Just sound calm, cool, and collective! LOL Good Luck!!

I interviewed for a job almost 3 weeks ago. I was told I would hear in about a week. Obviously I’ve heard nothing. I called a week later to follow-up on the phone but the person was on vacation so I gave it another week and they were still on vacation but the secretary said they’d have another administrator contact me… still no phone call… is it appropriate to call again after a 3 week period?

If you think you did good on the interview and really want the job then SURE call again. You may want to write a short note as well. Good Luck!!
Edit: You can keep following up for up to one month, after that I would call it quits.

You don’t. They will call you if they are interested. You should apply to more than one job. The average ratio of getting a call back is 4 to 10! Meaning for every ten jobs you apply to, you will get call backs on 4 of them. It doesn’t hurt to follow up, but don’t be pushy or it will put them off.

Also I applied to red robins and the guy said he’s only looking for people who’s had atleast 2 years experience but he’ll keep the application incase, what does that mean?

I recently had an interview for a bank teller position and it was a group interview to me it seemed like most of the others got a specific date for an interview, but he told me he’ll call me this week to set up a second interview, does anyone know if thats good or bad?
