Has your opinion of Bush changed in the last two years?

Question by WinonaGal: Has your opinion of Bush changed in the last two years?
Just curious. I read an interesting article recently that indicated that Bush’s approval rating has now gone up in comparison to what it was at the time he left office.
I wonder if now that time has passed, people are looking back on that time and reflecting that he really wasn’t as bad as the liberal media was making him out to be.
This is not your opportunity to bash him, I am very tired of all of that.
If you want to bash him, please just ask your own question and I am sure you will have plenty of “wonderful” answers to make you happy. This is asking you to compare if you feel differently now than when he left office.

I do want to say that I was never a fan of his. I voted for McCain in the primaries against Bush and voted for Bush as I felt he was the “lesser of two evils”. I still think, to this day, that McCain would have done a better job and made different decisions.
So, I didn’t think Bush was doing a great job at the time he left office, but I always felt he was overly criticized and made out to be responsible for many things that were not his fault. Do you think the media was unkind to Bush? Why?
I can say that I feel my own approval of him has changed. Now that I see what is going on with our new president, I recognize that things were not so bad. I actually find myself wishing we had Bush again as I realize he was doing a better job than I thought.

I long for 2012 so the ultimate clean up can occur after what I view as 12 years of bad management. But, again, my opinion is now higher than it was at the time Bush left. I probably give him a C- rather than a D+. But, I give Obama an F.

Have you changed your mind? Care to grade as I did? Please be honest in your grading. Also, again, this is not the time to do the usual Bush bashing, it’s all been heard and we are all tired of it. It’s “old news” but the change in people’s hearts is not old, it’s new.

Bush’s approval ratings currently match or exceed Zer0bama’s.

Bush regularly made me cringe but, today, I would take him back in a New York minute.

Soupy Sales would be an improvement over what we have now and he’s dead.

If I were asked to introduce myself in a job interview, how long should it last?

Question by Jamie J: If I were asked to introduce myself in a job interview, how long should it last?
I’m attending a final round interview next Monday. But I’m still uncertain about how much time should I spend if I were asked the question “Tell me something about yourself.” I was planning to talk about my academic background, my strength, my interest in the position they offer, my part time job experiences, etc. Will that be too much? How should I trim my answer to finish this question within one minute? Is that a rule for questions like this?

And how long should the answer to each question last?

Thank you very much for your attention, please help me.

tell them your education where you went “I have a bachelors degree in ——” tell them your common interests- nothing weird tho.
and try to involve your personal strengths and goals into the job position you’re trying to get…

don’t go off on a life story tho.

Approximately how long after the last interview (6th), does Wells Fargo notify you if you got hired?

Question by lucky: Approximately how long after the last interview (6th), does Wells Fargo notify you if you got hired?
I first had my phone interview for a personal banker position. Then, I was called in for a group interview. I had an interview in the morning and was asked to go back in the afternoon. In the afternoon, I had 4 interviews. I would like to know how long they usually take to let you know if you got the job or not.

These are pretty standard questions – either in a regular or phone interview.

I’d suggest taking a look and the Interview section on the big job boards (Monster, HotJobs, Careerbuilder) They have good questions and sample answers. Don’t memorize the answers, just use them as guides to create your own responses.

For me – I usually like to give a weakness that I can spin into a strength. Like I sometimes get bored – so I like to have a job where there are different things I can do. I schedule out my day, depending on the needs of the company, so that I can do several different things during the day. What I didn’t like about my last job was the commute. One of the reasons I went looking for a job closer to home was when gas was /gallon, it was killing me to fill up twice a week for work! (And then I’d say something about how glad I am that this company is closer . . . )

Hope that helps!

What is an appropriate honest response to the question, “Why did you leave your last job?”?

Question by Lady D: What is an appropriate honest response to the question, “Why did you leave your last job?”?
I was terminated unexpectedly from my job of 10 years at a bank this week because I made an error with a loan that I wasn’t aware of. Apparently, this one mistake, eventhough unintentional, could not be overlooked. I do have leads for other positions, but want to make sure I ace the interview, as it has been 10 years since I was in an interview. How do I answer this question, without putting myself in a negative light? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Tell the truth. They may call your prior employer and ask the same question.
