Question by SIMONE: Okay…. Please help!!?
Well um I got selected for an interview. It’s not a job interview lol. It’s an interview in which if I qualify, I’ll be given scholarship. Well if the people in the interview ask me my hobby, I really don’t know what it is.. I’m mostly reading, sleeping, watching tv and on the computer all the time. I’m not good at drawing. I don’t play any sport. I’m not good at singing or dancing, I don’t play any instrument , I’m not interested in photography. So what do I do when they ask me what my hobby is? Woah… Wait a minute… I don’t even read novels or anything except my text books. What do I answer?
somebody please answer!!! don’t just read the question and go away.

Do you enjoy spending time with your family? Do you have pets? Do you like walking, swimming, camping, watching movies?
Music, baking, do you support local bands, go to places of interest (museums art galleries etc) do you keep up to date with news? Are you interested in hair and beauty, fashion, do you go to any clubs?
What types of books do you usually read? What do you do on the computer?
When they ask you this question in interviews, they are generally trying to get a broader picture of who you are and they can get an idea of this by asking what you do with your spare time, most people exaggerate slightly but be warned, don’t say you are an expert in martial arts as it would just be typical that the person interviewing you happened to be a black belt!
Good Luck with the interview

Question by Ames: Pre-employment question – please help!!!?
I just came back from an interview at Weis Markets (a chain grocery store) to work as a Pharmacy Tech – the pharmacist who interveiwed me said really liked meand said that was very interested in hiring me pending my background check.
I don’t have any criminal records or driving records, and didn’t list any false infomation on my application…but, I’ve heard that employers sometimes do credit reports.
I had to be taken to the Emergency Room a few months ago, and the total bill was close to 900 dollars (I don’t have insurance, nor do I currently have a job, and the hospital wasn’t willing to work out a payment plan – they immediately sent it to the credit agency after 60 days). It has yet to be paid because I don’t have the money, but I have recieved letters saying that my debt to the hospital could effect my credit score.
Do you think that I might not get this job because of this? It’s not as though it’s thousands of dollars.
Now I’m nervous…I really want this job…

I doubt they check your credit. I got a job 7 months ago with a good company, and my credit is shot cause I got laid off and couldn’t pay some cards off. Didn’t bring it up once. Your background check is more important.

Well since being a receptionist is dealing with people you could say I have gained valuable experience dealing with people as a waitress over the last few years. I am committed to providing the best service and if given the opportunity I would do the same for your SPA.

Thanks for reading and helping me
I know this is a job for me, but I am nervous that I won’t get to actually show them my skills because of a bad interview.
This is 911 dispatcher, what questions can I ask about the job at the end of the interview?
If they ask, why do you want to join us, What are some good reasons to tell them?
If I am asked what my weaknesses are. What are some good answers that are weakness, but actually will sound good too?

Ask about the type of training you will receive, what types of shifts you will work, ask what a typical work day looks like.
If they ask why you want the job, answer honestly. It sounds like you want a job that helps people – this would be a good answer.
The weakness answer you will have to work on on your own. Without knowing you, it’s hard to answer.

You should clean it with the alcohol cleaner with a q-tip and once that’s done put the earring back in.
