hello yahoo users,
I am a second-year college student who is in co-op this fall term. I have not got my first work experiences, yet have volunteered a number of times. I have not been in the interview environment and I have seen (interview questions& answers) videos on youtube. But, I think I have not got sufficient work experiences. Here is what I have done so far and if you don’t mind, can you please write a sample answer for “tell me about yourself”?

1. volunteered at hospital
-volunteered as a receptionist in family business
-cleaned bed; answered phone calls from patients and make appointments
-have volunteered in summer two times
2. outreach to South Africa
-volunteered at local orphanage and drama
-understanding problems
3. scorekeeping at highschhol
4. being a group leader at a local camp
-keep group members safe

*i am a hardworking student and catch things quickly.
ex when my parents were gone for vacation and I received a bill. I quickly caught that there was a calculation mistake. It cost 300$ less than what i was expected to pay.
-fully committed to work: can do work without having any break which can be weakness because I only think work as my priority. (if i am to answer what is your weakness? then i am going to say about this; but, how can i say?)

Congratulations! You have tons of valid experience! You merely need, as you state, help in finding the right words. Here we go:
1) Hospital Volunteer
-receptionist (responded/redirected incoming calls; problem solved with clients**; scheduled appointments)
-worked two summers
2) South African Outreach
-various duties while interning at orphanage
-provided companionship, problem solving and mentoring to youth
-shared in drama production
3) High school sport scorekeeper
-perfectly accurate record keeping**
4) Summer camp
-group leader of “how many in group”
-safety education and monitoring
-guide members through teamwork**
SKILLS:
Proofreading (caught 0 error on family debt)
Active listening
Problem solving
Initiative in teamwork or alone
Competent working solo
WEAKNESSES:
Strong focus on task at hand, must sometimes be reminded to take a break.
Enjoy helping others, try not to do more than necessary, thus facilitating their successes.
