Question by basit: Can you help me on how to introduce yourself in an college scholarship interview.?

Usually, you walk into the room. The interviewer(s) will stand up, shake your hand, invite you to sit down. They start by introducing themselves. They may ask you to say your name, or they may address you by name when you enter the room (they usually already know your basic information).
I’ve never had an interview that asked something so generic as “say something about yourself”. They tend to ask rather specific questions, like “say something about your goals” or “why you deserve this scholarship” or “a hardship you’ve overcome”.

Question by CuriousOne: Army ROTC Scholarship Interview?
I am applying for a 4 year Army ROTC scholarship in the state of Washington. I’m wondering: What questions should I expect to be asked? What should I do to prepare? What are they looking for in your interview.

Tell us about yourself. Tell us why you want to be an officer. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? What are your hobbies? Do you perform any volunteer work? What are your career goals? What leadership roles have you held? What do you consider your strongest leadership trait? Your weakest? Tell us about a situation you have encountered that challenged your ethics. How did you handle that situation?
That will cover the majority of what you will be asked.
My advice? Write down responses to these questions and rehearse your answers. The key is to remain relaxed and to answer in a coherent fashion.

The correct, and moral answer they are looking for is you would print out their assisgnment and hand it in as is. No cheating, or altering.
Of course, that is a bad question, because if you say, “forget your friend, I’m worried about my own ass and don’t have the time or compacty to keep up with someone else work” then kinda makes you look like a non team player.
So, I would say, being a good friend, ” I would fulfill his request and also settle down and finish up my own assignments without ever copying, or stealing his work/ideas.”

Question by coolerstewie: Best advice for a scholarship interview?
It is Friday and I am not sure what to expect. I am sure people from my community will be there. If you could include some questions that they could potentially ask, that would be great.
