about a week ago i had an interview at lowes. this was my first interview ever. she started asking questions, which i expected, but then she asked what was my biggest weakness or something i couldnt do well. i told her wearing heels… needless to say no ones called me or returned my calls. tomorrow i have an interview for krogers. does anyone have any tips or something i could say for weaknesses? i get EXTREMELY nervous, more nervous than A LOT of other people do when i have to answer questions like that. i hate bragging about myself so i dont know how i can overcome this or what to say. anything will help….

I’m doing a school debate on why Stonewall Jackson is better than Belisarius (its hard, believe me) and I need to exploit the weaknesses of Belisarius. Does anyone have any idea?

what do you say when asked “what’s your biggest weakness” by a potential employer?

I have an interview tomorrow. I feel like saying “I work too hard” or I’m “too detail oriented” is too obvious and common. Are there any other good answers?
I kind of want to say something like “cheesecake” or “cute puppies” haha. jk.

I’m currently seeking a new job and it will only be my second interview for a job ever. During my first interview (retail store) i was not asked this question, however this new job i’m looking into involves being a receptionist. If they were to ask me my greatest weakness, would it be too inappropriate to say that I tend to have a bit of social anxiety however at the start of my current job i’ve learned to change that anxiety into almost adrenaline and I push myself to do that task. The more anxious I feel about something the farther i will go to make myself do it.

I’m not sure if it would be a good answer considering your not “really” suppose to give a weakness, but more or less a weakness that conceals a strength like the classic “i tend to really be a perfectionist”…Instead of lying and saying something like that, i figured i’d say something that really is a weakness but pushes me harder.

but isn’t that why I would say how it pushes me to do it better? How would that be a concern for them?

the part about the weakness pushing you harder is really good, but I don’t think I would say the part about the social anxiety. As a receptionist, you do have to deal with people on a daily basis and that might be a concern for them.

Not only do I know how to spell, but I am able to use ’spell-check’ in case I make a typo.
Also, I am unable to refrain from correcting others’ grammar and spelling mistakes. But that might be another strength, I don’t know.

i recently went on an interview and they asked me what was my biggest weakness? and my conceited self could not think of one…so i said im a workaholic and then they were like well can you think deeper? and i was like lack of info in some areas so i didn’t get the job…surprise…lol any suggestions on “good” weakness?
good job everybody….and i do have one little weakness of talking too much…. side note: i am usually never late….lol but i got some good ammo next time that “bad” question comes up…

Just be honest. Everyone’s got at least one weakness…lol.
